We present unexpected perspectives and concepts that interlock and find themselves in further thoughts. We would like to create an experience that makes us reflect about our way of life and thinking processes.

For this year's show we invited two very exciting artists: painter and photographer Erika Anna Schumacher from Düsseldorf/Germany and sculptor and conceptual artist Alexis Oltmer from State College, PA.

Erika Anna Schumacher, Miami in Blazing Light, 2019

Erika Anna Schumacher is a new shooting star in the world of photography, although she worked continuously and is very successful for many years. In 2020 she won the prestigious International LensCulture Street Photography Award with her series "Miami at night'. Articles published in magazines and in newspapers such as in the New York Times and the Washington Post made her well known in the USA.

We are very happy to present a selection of the second part of this project, called 'Miami in blazing light'.

Alexis Oltmer, In Plain Sight, 2018

The artwork I create is both conceptual and environmental. I work to elevate natural facts and ideas through art to highlight environmental topics I am interested in. The term Environmental in my practice means spacial awareness of environments I investigate and install in as an attempt to create a merger between nature and art. I am emotionally attached to the collection and documentation of objects. My most recent installation ran from Feb 1 - April 30th as a part of The Rockefeller Center Flag Project “Only One Earth,” in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Program and the Climate Museum in NYC.

In Plain Sight is an immersive installation of three works. Future Fossils, Found Objects, and Deconstructions. Together they are interpretations of the process of fossilization.

What is more important to me? Nature or art? What do I find more stimulating and inspiring? Do I prefer to work in my garden or do I prefer to look at great art? It is not possible for me to make a decision. What is certain, however, is that we cannot live without nature. I could live without art, but it would be a painful loss. It would be the loss of those special creative-intellectual feelings.

The show will present a selection of my floral winter images.
